Weekends are the best, especially with you.

Hello! waves*
Some of you might know, my boyfriend came to KL for a visit for the weekend, it was such a spontaneous decision though!
Picked him up from the airport after my class  on Friday then headed home to rest for abit before meeting Aunty Max, the boyfie's mum at Runway 33, a bar @ Subang Airport with a bunch of her friends as well.
Was a really good night! These people thought me that you can still be fun as you age, not saying they're old or what but yeah :P
It was Aunty Max's birthday on Sunday so they kinda surprised her with a cake as well on that night.
Happy Birthday Aunty Max!

Hello from us! I dont look my best here but what the hell. <3

Sunday morning rain is pouring, well not really actually. It was a pretty sunny day.
Got ready, waited for baby to pack, then headed to Amcorp Mall, our usual sunday afternoon spot.
Had lunch then walked around for abit. Baby got a new Jimi Hendrix vinyl.
Went to the airport after that to send him off :(
Later on I headed to church, went to meet Jerynn at One Utama after that and had dinner with her and Jason at Nasi Lemak Bumbung. HAHA baby you dont get nasi lemak bumbung cuz you left early :(
Thus sums up my weekend.

Cliché? Maybe not.

Valentines day, where facebok, instagram and other social sites are filled with pictures of roses, chocolates and food from the romantic dinner they had.
Was never a sucker for valentines day although i do celebrate it, but this time, it was a bit sad as the boyfriend was all the way in Penang and i'm all the way in KL :(
Our first valentines and we're physically so far apart, life is unfair.
As others received flowers, presents, fine dining at some fancy restaurant, i, on the other hand, received a drum cover dedicated to me on valentines
hehehehehehhehe
*big smiles*
perks of having a drummer boyfriend
It was the boyfriend's first proper drum cover and he covered the song Here Without You by 3 Doors Down, our song when we're far apart and lyrics describe our situation.

As some of you might know, roses are one of my favourite flowers. Yes i know, cliche.
Never really fancied the idea of receiving flowers when i was younger but times changed.
It got me thinking, roses wilt and die in the end, whats the point of gifting it to people anyways?
Our lives today where we always dwell on the past and worry about the future, we never stop and enjoy the moment we're living in.
Yes, this. very. second. now. when. you. are. reading. this.
No one just stops and look around anymore, what are you doing today that you didnt do yesterday and would make yesteryou proud?
Cherishing the beauty of flowers at that very moment when its still alive and fresh, the smell and touch of the petals. Why leave it there and wait till they're dead before tossing them into the bin?
Serves no purpose.
Well, to everyone out there, do something while you're still an alive pretty rose before its too late and you start decaying slowly
So philosophical i know haha.
Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Chinese Neigh Year!

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!
And i decided to update my chinese new year post on the last day of cny haha
My chinese new year was filled with food, red packets and alot of bonding time with the family and the boyfriend as he spent this festive season with me. perks of having a non chinese boyfriend ;)
Drove down from KL to Penang with daddy two days before CNY and reached Penang at night.
Spent the whole of cny eve on facial and tea with the boyfriend, did abit of house chores as well before reunion dinner.
Had reunion dinner with the immediate family & hubs @ Northam Hotel. The food, brilliant!
Had an 8 course dinner, yee sang included. Its really weird how this is my second time having yee sang. yes, LOL.
Headed to my grandma's place after dinner. Gambled, fire works, fire crackers and whole loads of CNY cookies to accompany us for the night.
You light up my life, like that Burgundy lamp of yours that i like so much.
Coffee and scones for tea after my facial.
Getting dolled up for reunion dinner! Dont we look dashing? ;) Well, he does. <3
Before.
After.
It was so adorable how we all lou sang and everyone was making their own wishes haha.

Chinese New Year Day One.
Got up, dolled up and headed straight to my grandma's for lunch! Baby tagged along too :3
Typical chinese lunch we had, but theres something about food being prepared by your grandmother and dining with the family.
Gambled the whole afternoon with the siblings and aunts.
Headed home in the evening to rest for abit then prepared for dinner. We had dinner at Northam Hotel again haha but this time at the coffee house instead of the Chinese Restaurant.. Again, headed back to the grandma's place later on.
Picture of the Angsters before leaving the house. Photo credits to the boyfriend.
nom noms
Whats CNY without gambling, right?
He has a habit of covering my face with his food while i take a selfie of us :(

Only managed to take a picture of my dinner and his.

Chinese New Year Day Two
Woke up pretty early and headed to Northam All Suite Hotel, had breakfast and watched the Lion Dance performance!
Right after that, went to Kedah to visit dad's side of the family. This time, the boyfriend didnt tag along.
I'm not really close to the dad's side family as all my cousins are all married and living all over the place, therefore we only get to see each other almost once a year due to our different schedules.
Nieces and nephews everywhere! Superbly adorable.
Ohana :) Thank you baby for taking this picture :)
Only a fraction of dad's side family. 3 generations. Yes we're the youngest cousins there lol.

Thats all for now. Back to my assignments!
Will be updating about my road trip to Sitiawan soon. Stay tuned!
